Radio ZET frequency & live stream

Radio ZET is one of Poland’s leading national commercial radio stations, combining an adult contemporary music playlist with a strong news service. Alongside RMF FM, it has been one of the two dominant private radio brands in the country since the fall of communism.

History

Radio ZET began broadcasting in Warsaw in September 1990, making it one of the first private radio stations in post-communist Poland. It was founded by the journalist Andrzej Woyciechowski, whose name is commemorated in a prominent Polish journalism award established after his death. The station grew from a Warsaw broadcaster into a nationwide network during the 1990s and became the flagship of the Eurozet group, which was long controlled by France’s Lagardère before passing to new owners, with the Polish media group Agora ultimately taking control of Eurozet.

Format and programming

The station targets adult listeners with a playlist of contemporary pop hits and well-known songs from recent decades, presented by established Polish radio personalities. Regular news bulletins from its Warsaw newsroom, along with political interviews in its morning programming, give Radio ZET a stronger journalistic profile than most music-led competitors; its morning political interview is frequently quoted by other Polish media. Traffic, weather and entertainment features round out the schedule.

Reach

Radio ZET broadcasts across Poland through a nationwide network of FM frequencies, and streams online via its website and mobile apps. The Eurozet group also operates spin-off digital brands and sister stations serving more specialised audiences.

Significance

As one of the founding brands of Poland’s private media era, Radio ZET holds an important place in the country’s broadcasting history. It remains among the most-listened stations in Poland and a significant voice in national news and public affairs.
